Giant Steps has racked up a string of accolades, including over 35 trophies, 100+ gold medals, and being named Wine & Spirits ‘Top Wineries of the Year’ seven times. Most recently, they were named 2025 Halliday Winery of the Year, and the 2023 Applejack Vineyard Pinot Noir was named Halliday Pinot Noir of the Year. Sourced from the cool-climate Applejack Vineyard, this Pinot Noir is aged for 10 months in French oak, showcasing the vineyard’s high altitude and rich volcanic soils. These unique conditions give the wine a beautiful balance of freshness and complexity, making it a perfect example of why Giant Steps continues to be a standout in the Yarra Valley.

What the experts say about this wine 👇

2022 was a hard act to follow, but this superb wine gives it a shake. Exotic, aromatic and pure with its bouquet of wild strawberries, dark cherries, quince, spices and flowers. Densley packed, this saturates the palate, but, as always, it's light on its feet at the same time. Seamless tannins round out another benchmark for what's already a benchmark wine.
