Pierro Nune Tempest Est Chenin Blanc 2023

Margaret River meets Loire—and the result is delicious 🍋🌿
The 2023 Pierro Nune Tempest Est Chenin Blanc proves that world-class Chenin Blanc doesn’t just come from the Loire Valley. This WA wine is bright, textured, and beautifully structured—offering the freshness you expect, with the depth you don’t always see outside of France.
Expect apricot, lemon, green apple, and pear up front, with floral lift, honey and a fine mineral line that zips across the palate. There’s a subtle richness that balances the zing, making this both refreshing and layered.
Pierro has long been a quiet achiever with Chenin—their 2018 vintage was named one of Australia’s best by Young Gun of Wine—and the 2023 keeps the bar high. Drink it now for the vibrant fruit, or let it age to unlock more honeyed, savoury complexity.

What the experts say about this wine
94 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
Green apple, apricot, green pear, lemon myrtle and honey, a coverlet of spicy oak. It's juicy, lots of flavour here, but tight too, and the texture is excellent offering some chalky grip and glossy feel, and it sports a cinch of dried herb and quinine bitterness on a long finish. It's powerful Chenin, yet it's balanced and controlled. Gee, this is terrific wine.
