Step 3: Withdraw anytime

Ready to enjoy your wines? Log in to your account and request a withdrawal at any time. You can choose as many or as few bottles as you like.

If you don’t have an account yet, you’ll be invited to create one after purchase if you selected the cellaring option.

Premium wines designed for ageing benefit most from professional cellaring, including fine Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, aged-worthy Chardonnay, vintage Champagne, and collectible wines. Is my wine insured while in your cellaring facility?

Yes! Insurance is included in our cellaring service at no additional cost. Your wine is covered for fire, flood & theft at current market value. Our comprehensive insurance policy gives you peace of mind that your investment is protected while in our care.

How do I access my cellared wine when I want to drink or sell it?

Simply contact us through your account dashboard to request delivery of specific bottles. We'll process your request promptly and ship your wine. Your cellaring subscription for those bottles will be cancelled before the next billing cycle, so you only pay for the time we stored them.

Where is your cellaring facility located and how secure is it?

Our wine storage facility is a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled warehouse with 24/7 security monitoring, restricted access, and comprehensive surveillance systems. Temperature and humidity are monitored hourly to ensure optimal ageing conditions. The facility is purpose-built for wine storage with backup systems to maintain perfect conditions.

Can I cellar wine I already own, or only wines purchased from Trading Grapes?

Currently, our cellaring service is available for wines purchased through Trading Grapes. When you buy wine from us, simply select the "cellar my wine" option at checkout. This ensures proper handling from purchase to storage and maintains the wine's provenance - important for valuable bottles.

What's the minimum and maximum cellaring period?

There's no minimum cellaring period - you can request delivery anytime after your wine arrives at our facility. There's also no maximum period, making our service perfect for long-term collectors. Whether you're cellaring for a few months or several decades, we're here to store your wine until you're ready.

Do you offer cellaring for businesses, restaurants, or investment funds?

Yes! We're expanding our services to support SMSFs (Self-Managed Super Funds), family offices, restaurants, and commercial wine collections. These services include bulk storage options & portfolio management. Contact our team to discuss your specific requirements and custom pricing.

What happens if I forget about wine I have cellared with you?

Your wine remains safely stored regardless of how long it's been cellared. We'll continue charging the monthly fee and send regular updates about your collection. If payment methods expire or accounts become inactive, we'll contact you to arrange updated payment details or wine retrieval. Your wine is never abandoned or disposed of.

What temperature and humidity conditions do you maintain?

Our facility maintains optimal cellaring conditions with temperature between 12-15°C and relative humidity of 60-70%. These conditions are monitored and recorded hourly with backup systems ensuring consistency. Bottles are stored horizontally in darkness, protected from vibration and temperature fluctuations that can damage wine.

How do I start cellaring wine with Trading Grapes?

Simply select "cellar my wine" when purchasing any eligible wine at checkout. Your wine will be delivered directly to our secure facility instead of your address, and monthly billing will begin on the 1st of the following month. You'll be able to track your cellared inventory through your account dashboard.
