Hartford Family Winery

Our family of four makes Four Hearts Vineyards Chardonnay almost exclusively from Tom Dehlinger’s Vineyard on Laguna Ridge in the Russian River Valley. The vineyard is planted to heirloom clones of Chardonnay and is one of the oldest plantings of Chardonnay in the Russian River – over 40 years old. In some years a small percent of grapes from the Middle Reach region of the Russian River are used in the blend to add a nuanced floral aromatic complexity. The 2020 Hartford Court Four Hearts Chardonnay has a weighty texture with spicy, layered flavors, and finishes with a brightness that reflects the cool climate origins of the vineyards that comprise this blend. All wines are barrel fermented in French oak, and complete full malolactic fermentation with regular lees stirring.
