Phase Three Wines Home of the Dero Syrah 2024

Syrah from the home block, with the same cult edge 🍷🌿
Phase Three Wines has built a reputation as one of the Barossa’s most exciting new producers, with their flagship Dero Syrah quickly gaining a cult following. But Home of the Dero is different—it’s crafted from their own estate block, the vines right outside their door, making it a deeply personal expression of site and style.
The 2024 vintage shows why this wine matters. Hand-picked, wild-fermented, and made in tiny quantities, it’s Syrah with both soul and structure. Expect dark plum, blackberry, and blueberry fruit, lifted by violet and spice, all wrapped in velvety tannins with a savoury, mineral edge. Where Dero speaks to the broader Barossa, Home of the Dero is intimate—an estate Syrah that captures the character of its home soils.
Production is minuscule, but with Phase Three’s track record (the inaugural 2020 Dero was already likened to Sami-Odi), this is a label that collectors are watching closely. A wine with roots—literally—and one destined to become part of the story as Phase Three grows.
