Phase Three Wines Vinegarden Syrah 2024

Syrah with roots that run deep 🍷🌿

Phase Three Wines is fast becoming one of the most exciting new names in Australian wine, and the Vinegarden Syrah shows why. Unlike their flagship Dero (crafted from select Barossa vineyards), this bottling comes from something truly special: ancestor vines planted around 1895 in the Eden Valley. These gnarled old vines, the inspiration behind the name Vinegarden, deliver fruit of remarkable concentration and character.

The 2024 release is powerful yet refined, with dark plum, mulberry, and black cherry at its core, layered with violets, spice, and a savoury, mineral edge that speaks to Eden Valley’s higher altitude and cooler climate. Basket-pressed and made in small volumes, it has a seamless texture and fine tannins that promise years of graceful development.

For collectors, Vinegarden is more than just another Syrah—it’s a rare chance to taste history in the glass. With fruit drawn from vines that have seen over a century of vintages, this is a wine of both provenance and potential.
