Peter Jakob Kühn is one of the leading names in biodynamic winemaking in Germany, and his GGs (Große Gewächse — Germany’s equivalent to Grand Cru) are some of the most expressive in the Rheingau. Doosberg is his flagship site: steep slope, old vines, and deep loess-loam soils that give power, depth, and mineral drive.

2021 was a high-tension vintage — cool, long, and incredibly precise — the perfect match for GG Riesling. Expect lemon zest, white peach, crushed slate, and a deep, savoury, almost herbal complexity that shows just how layered Doosberg can be. The palate is laser-focused yet textural, finishing long, salty, and tightly wound. Built for the cellar, but thrilling already if you love energy and structure.
