If you're looking for a bubbly that won’t break the bank, the Veuve Ambal Crémant de Bourgogne Grande Cuvée Brut NV is one to try. Veuve Ambal is the market leader, and the largest producer of Crémant de Bourgogne, and they’ve been perfecting their craft since 1898.

Like Champagne, this Crémant undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle using the méthode traditionnelle (the same method used in Champagne). The only difference is geography: sparkling from Burgundy can’t be called Champagne, but the technique — and the quality — can be remarkably close.

This cuvée has richness, depth, and a creamy bead that’s tough to beat at this price. Expect fresh citrus, green apple, white flowers, and a gentle brioche note — all wrapped in a refreshing, finely textured finish.
